In the second quarter of this year the average monthly earnings in the real sector of Moldova increased by 15.2% compared to the same period last year and amounted to 9,044.5 lei ($515.33), the National Statistics Bureau announced.
According to statistics, the highest values of the average monthly earnings in April-June were registered in information and communications - 21 753.9 lei ($1,239); financial and insurance activities - 16 698.6 lei ($951); production and supply of electricity and heat, gas, hot water and air conditioning - 14,251.8 lei ($812), MoldPres reports.
The lowest values of the average monthly salary were registered in: accommodation and catering activities - 5 184.8 lei ($295); agriculture, forestry and fishing - 5,206.4 lei ($297); art, recreation and leisure activities - 6 169.3 lei ($351).
According to the National Bureau of Statistics, in the budgetary sector, the average monthly earnings achieved in the second quarter of this year amounted to 7,778.5 lei ($443), 8.5% more than in the second quarter of last year, and in the real sector - 9,497.8 lei ($541), by 17.1% more compared to the second quarter of 2020.
At the same time, the data show an increase of 8.3% in the average number of employees compared to the second quarter of 2020.
