In 3Q2025, Georgia’s business climate showed positive quarterly growth, although it registered a slight decline compared to the same period last year, according to the Georgian Business Association (BAG) index.
The BAG index, developed jointly with the PMS Research Center and the ifo Institute for Economic Research, reflects the assessments of managing directors from BAG member companies and their affiliates regarding current business conditions, employment, and investment environment. The study is published quarterly by the PMC Research Center.
Key Figures for Q3 2025
- Overall BAG business climate index: 43.2 points
- Current business situation: 30.6 points
- Expectations for the next six months: 56.5 points
- Compared to the second quarter of 2025, the business climate improved by 11.5 points. Specifically:
- Current situation index increased by 12.1 points
- Expectations index rose by 10.8 points
However, in annual terms (compared to Q3 2024), the index declined slightly by 1.6 points. The current situation fell by 8.6 points, while expectations for the next six months grew by 6.0 points.
The BAG survey covers trade, services, industry, and construction sectors. It collects company perspectives on sales, prices, employment, wages, and identifies factors hindering business activity and investment. The Q3 2025 survey was conducted from August 19 to September 11.
Overall, the report indicates that while the annual business climate shows a minor decline, the strong quarterly improvement suggests ongoing positive momentum, with the sector remaining in a boom phase.
