The Georgian Business Association’s (BAG) special survey for Q2 2026 shows growing interest among local companies in adopting artificial intelligence (AI). According to the study, 47% of businesses are researching or planning AI integration, while 13% have already fully implemented AI in one or more business processes.
Companies most commonly use AI for marketing and content creation, followed by finance and risk management, as well as customer support services. By sector, AI-powered marketing tools are most popular in trade (26%) and services (23%), while construction leads in finance and risk management applications (25%), and service companies use AI most actively for customer support (26%).
Among AI solutions, 50% of surveyed companies rely on ready-made global platforms, 26% use internally trained AI models, and 24% use specialized software. The majority of businesses (79%) say AI has helped save time and speed up processes, while others report reduced human errors and improved service or product quality.
Despite growing adoption, companies identify a shortage of qualified specialists (30%) as the main obstacle to AI implementation in Georgia, followed by limited Georgian-language support and insufficient or poorly structured data. However, the outlook remains positive, with 65% of businesses planning to increase AI-related investment budgets over the next one to two years.
