Bartlome Winery in Kvareli will expand its operations by launching a family guesthouse in August 2026, according to Mariam Khosroshvili, founder of travel company Ria Travel Georgia.
Speaking on BMGTV's Women's Narrative, Khosroshvili said the property has been operating for two years, initially focusing on food services and wine tastings. From August, it will welcome guests with boutique-style accommodation, an authentic Kakhetian atmosphere, wine tastings, and masterclasses.
The winery currently offers accommodation, dining, and wine experiences, with the capacity to host around 20 guests. Khosroshvili said the expansion was driven by demand for authentic family-run hospitality rather than traditional four- and five-star hotel concepts.
Looking ahead, the business plans to develop gastronomic tourism, cultural tours, and additional masterclasses, leveraging Kvareli's cultural and historical attractions. According to Khosroshvili, Kakheti has strong potential to attract visitors thanks to its long tourism season and rich cultural, religious, and culinary experiences.
