The “Batumtan” project, designed to offer opportunities for recreation and remote work outside the city, plans to expand gradually. Co-founder Ana Avechba said the complex is being developed on a 5,000–7,000 sq. m. site and will include panoramic houses, dining facilities, coworking areas and event spaces.
Avechba said the project was launched in response to Batumi’s rapid construction growth and increasing density, while the resources around the city remain relatively underdeveloped. The complex is located around 15–20 minutes from Batumi, with views of the city representing one of its key advantages.
According to Avechba, the project is expected to be completed within two to three years under an optimistic scenario, although the timeline could extend to four years. She estimates that the total investment could reach several hundred thousand dollars, with the final amount depending on the project’s development.
The complex is designed to operate beyond the summer season. Avechba said occupancy reached 90–95% in August, while September is already 60% booked, with several reservations also made for October. She said the early booking data indicates demand for the concept beyond the peak summer period.
