Batumi beach service prices will be capped at a maximum of GEL 10 for a sunbed and GEL 5 for an umbrella during the 2026 summer season, according to electronic auction documents published for leasing coastal areas. This marks a sharp increase compared to 2025, when both sunbeds and umbrellas were capped at GEL 5.
More than 30 auctions have been announced by the LEPL “Batumi Boulevard,” which is responsible for managing the coastal zone. Through these tenders, beach plots are being leased until November 1. Both individuals and legal entities are eligible to participate.
Under the terms, leaseholders will be required to use the property strictly for its intended purpose and install new, fully functional beach infrastructure, including sunbeds, umbrellas, and small waste bins. Operators must also ensure transparent pricing, with on-site information boards displaying fees in both Georgian and English.
The auctions began on May 22 and are set to conclude on May 29.
