Georgia's National Food Agency has fined an entrepreneur in Batumi GEL 1,000 for illegally selling pesticides and agrochemicals, the agency said.
According to the agency, inspectors found that the business was selling pesticides and agrochemicals without the mandatory authorization required under Georgian legislation.
The inspection also revealed violations of storage and sales regulations, including damaged packaging and the sale of agrochemicals in opened containers.
The National Food Agency said it will continue inspections to ensure that only safe and compliant products are available on the market and urged businesses to obtain the required authorization and comply with all legal and safety standards.
