Hotel occupancy in Batumi exceeded 95% in July and August and remains above 50% in September, according to Mamisa Varshalomidze, General Manager of Blue Sky Apart Hotel. The hotel is operating through a full calendar year in Batumi for the first time.

Varshalomidze said one of the main trends this season is a shift in the visitor mix. Turkey, Russia, Armenia and Israel remain key markets, while demand from Armenia and Arab countries has increased notably. The hotel is also receiving organized tourist groups through contracts with companies in Arab markets.

At the same time, visitors are increasingly choosing shorter and more budget-friendly stays, particularly tourists from neighboring countries traveling across several destinations. Varshalomidze said shorter stays create additional operational pressure for hotels because rooms need to be turned over and prepared for new guests more frequently.

The hotel continues to receive bookings from the domestic market and has already secured some reservations for the 2027 summer season. Varshalomidze said bookings during the off-season also remain relatively stable, indicating continued demand beyond Batumi’s peak summer months.
