Batumi Sea Port has expanded its ferry network by launching a new international ferry route between Batumi and Constanța and adding another ferry to the existing Batumi–Varna service. The port expects the expansion to increase the frequency and reliability of ferry operations while attracting new cargo flows across the Black Sea region.

According to the company, the expanded ferry services are expected to generate approximately $300,000 in additional revenue by the end of 2026. The new routes are also intended to strengthen trade connectivity between Black Sea countries and improve transport options for freight operators.

Batumi Port said the network expansion reinforces its position as a key transport and logistics hub in the Black Sea basin. The initiative is expected to diversify revenue streams, improve business resilience, and support further growth in cargo throughput.
