Batumi Sea Port expects to generate an additional $1 million in revenue by the end of 2026 following an increase in port service fees introduced from May 1, according to the port’s management.
The port said the new tariffs, along with other financial measures, are aimed at strengthening financial stability and creating additional resources for infrastructure development, service improvements, and investment projects. In addition, a higher service tariff for the carbamide terminal introduced from January 1 is expected to bring an extra $200,000 in revenue this year.
Batumi Port also reported growth in cargo turnover. In the first half of 2026, total cargo handled by the port reached 4.024 million tonnes, representing an 8% increase compared with the same period in 2025.
The port administration said the measures will help support further development of port infrastructure and improve the quality of services provided to customers.
