Dried fruits manufacturing company "Bebo's Chiri", located in the village of Dusheti, has been operating in the local market for 4 years. As Ketevan Jiniashvili, the founder of "Bebo's Chiri" told BM.GE, she plans to increase production by 40% this year and enter the chain markets.
According to her, last year, the company took part in USAID's "Strong Village" program, after which the company reequipped the enterprise and increased production.
"In 2023, we took part in the "Strong Village" program and we won it, as a result, the company purchased machinery worth GEL 50,000. This year, we expect a production capacity increase of about 40%. Moreover, the issue of product packaging will be resolved. We introduced the GMP standard in the enterprise," says Jiniashvili.
According to her, in addition to production growth, the company is negotiating with the chain markets. "Bebo's Chiri" plans to diversify the assortment and add a chocolate direction. Work on this should start this year.
Bebo's Chiri employs over 3 people in the enterprises. However, after the increase in production, staff number will also increase.
"Bebos Chiri" produces about 60 types of dried fruits. The prices of the products start from GEL 15, and reach GEL 120 per kilogram. The most expensive dried fruit is strawberry.
The monthly production of the company is up to 10 tons of products.
