As of January 1, 2025, Belarus has taken over the chairmanship of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) from Armenia. Throughout the year, Minsk will lead the work of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council, the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council, and the Eurasian Economic Commission Board.

In the near future, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko will outline the country’s key priorities for its chairmanship in an address to the heads of EAEU member states, according to TASS.

Belarusian Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko stated at the end of 2024 that the country would approach this mission with full responsibility and make every effort to further the development of the union.
