Former Governor of National Bank of Georgia, Giorgi Kadagidze said on Monday, that a constitutional coup took place in the country, as Bidzina Ivanishvili seized the power. As Kadagidze told BMG, the political crisis would inevitably be followed by an economic one.
"Bidzina Ivanishvili has seized the power and now, he is imitating the government, parliament, and court with the help of his puppets. Unfortunately, the Belarusization of Georgia continues and a deep economic crisis awaits us. In my opinion, it will start with real estate and grow into a banking crisis. People with middle income will feel the first blow, as this is the sense of the oligarchic regime.
Ivanishvili wants only the poor to be in this country and receive social benefits. While, he and his entourage will be extremely rich at the expense of robbing this country. This is the model of all oligarchic regimes. We must end it.
I would like to remind those people who are nihilistic that not only Bidzina Ivanishvili, but also Mubarak, who ruled Egypt for 30 years and was much richer and more entrenched, ended his rule in a few weeks. Ivanishvili will be like that, and his regime will fall faster than many people think," says Kadagidze.
