According to Giorgi Khojevanishvili, the majoritarian MP candidate of Georgian Dream - Democratic Georgia for Gori and Kaspi, Bidzina Ivanishvili redeemed the territory of the former market in Gori and gave it to the municipality.
Khojevanishvili added, that modern recreational zone and Youth Centre will be constructed at the area of former market. FUND CARTU will fund construction works fully.
“Former market area in the center of Gori was under the private ownership for years. However, no one made investments. Today, we can inform you that the area has been redeemed and handed over to the Gori municipality with the initiative of Bidzina Ivanishvili. The area in the center of Gori was turned into a landfill. Only through this type of charity has become possible to have a modern recreation area and the Youth Center in the city center. The project will be implemented by FUND CARTU. This is Mr. Bidzina Ivanishvili’s signature," Giorgi Khojevanishvili said.
As for the redemption value of the territory is not noted in the statement.
