The British government has said it is seeking to expedite the process of funds raised by the sale of the Chelsea Football Club being used to support Ukrainians.
Russian-Israeli billionaire Roman Abramovich sold the club after he was sanctioned as part of the U.K.'s efforts to target Russian oligarchs following the invasion of Ukraine.
Abramovich pledged to divert all proceeds to a foundation to benefit victims of the war. A charitable foundation was established to distribute the funds but a petition set up earlier this month claimed it has not yet received any money, RFE/RL reports.
