Georgian fast-food chain Burger Lions is launching a major expansion project that includes a new flagship location and increased production capacity. According to founder and managing partner Nika Samadashvili, the company’s fifth branch will open in Varketili and feature a unique concept designed to offer customers more than just a dining experience.
The new restaurant will be built on Gakhokidze Street, where the company has already purchased land. Construction is expected to begin within the next month. Spanning approximately 700–800 square meters, the venue is set to become Burger Lions’ largest branch to date and one of the most distinctive projects in the brand’s portfolio.
Alongside its retail expansion, Burger Lions is investing in its production operations. The company already manufactures its own bread, sauces, and meat products, allowing it to control the entire production cycle. Samadashvili said the next step is to expand into the B2B segment by supplying bakery and meat products to other businesses under the Burger Lions brand.
Founded in 2020 during the pandemic with a borrowed capital of just GEL 4,000 and a 20-square-meter location in Tbilisi’s Vazha-Pshavela district, Burger Lions has grown into a business employing more than 80 people. The company relies exclusively on locally sourced raw meat and says supporting Georgian farmers remains a key part of its strategy as it continues to expand.
