Georgian businessman Temur Ugulava has died at the age of 56, according to information confirmed by family members and close associates.
Ugulava had been battling an advanced form of lung cancer for several years. According to available information, he passed away in the United States.
He began his business career in 1998 and initially managed the betting and online gaming company Adjarabet.
Ugulava is widely recognized for bringing the Holiday Inn brand to Georgia. Later, under the umbrella of the Adjara Group, he helped develop some of the country’s most prominent hospitality brands, including Rooms Hotels and Stamba Hotel.
