Parliament shall vote on the candidates for the membership of the Board of the National Bank without hearing at the plenary session. Irakli Kovzanadze, Chairman of the Parliamentary Finance and Budget Committee, came up with this initiative.
"We are in a state of emergency and we are going through special sessions. The hearings of the candidates may take a long time, so we can go directly to vote. There was a substantial discussion on the committee," Irakli Kovzanadze said.
Candidates for the National Bank Board are: Nikoloz Gagua, Deputy Minister of Finance, Eka Mikabadze, Deputy Minister of Economy and Eka Galdava, former head of the United Water Supply Company.
