Cartu Bank earned a profit of GEL 19.5 million in the first half of 2025, according to the bank’s latest financial statements. This figure marks a 22% increase compared to the same period last year, signaling steady growth for the financial institution.
The bank’s total assets have reached 1.8 billion GEL, placing it eighth place in Georgia’s banking sector by asset size. Its loan portfolio stands at 1.1 billion GEL, with the majority comprised of business loans. Consumer loans account for a relatively modest 44 million GEL of the total portfolio.
Cartu Bank also reported 1.2 billion GEL in deposits, reflecting the institution’s solid footing in savings mobilization.
Significant changes have also been reported in the bank's ownership structure. According to documentation submitted to the National Bank of Georgia, Uta Ivanishvili, son of former Prime Minister Bidzina Ivanishvili, no longer holds full ownership of Cartu Bank. The updated records indicate that Uta Ivanishvili now owns a 35% stake in the bank and affiliated organizations.
