The third stage of the taxi reform will go into effect on April 1, the capital’s mayor, Kakha Kaladze, announced on Wednesday at a Tbilisi Municipality government meeting, adding that the updated www.taxi.tbilisi.gov.ge website, where taxi licenses may be purchased and leased, will become operational on April 1.
According to the Mayor of Tbilisi, the municipality issued over 35,000 licenses. Kaladze further stated that the Category A taxi would be permitted to stop and pick up passengers from bus lanes across Tbilisi.
