Caucasus Road Project LLC has been selected as the winner of a tender announced by Georgia’s Roads Department for works on the Achkhoti–Sno–Akhaltsikhe–Juta highway. The contract is valued at GEL80 million.
Under the tender, the company must prepare the project documentation and carry out road rehabilitation works within 24 months of signing the contract.
The project includes resurfacing the road, upgrading adjacent infrastructure, rehabilitating bridges and culverts, constructing retaining walls, and stabilizing slopes. These measures are particularly important in sections with challenging terrain and landslide risks. Road safety infrastructure, including traffic signs, protective barriers, and road markings, will also be upgraded.
The contractor must prepare environmental documentation and, if necessary, a resettlement action plan. It must also be capable of carrying out works simultaneously at a minimum of five sites, if required.
According to the tender commission’s decision dated October 28, 2026, Caucasus Road Project’s submitted documentation meets the requirements. The company has been given up to 10 working days to sign the contract and submit a performance bank guarantee. Contract-signing procedures are currently underway.
