“The elections were held in a peaceful, well-organized, and free environment,” said Giorgi Kalandarishvili, Chair of the Central Election Commission (CEC), during a briefing at the CEC.
According to him, the election process “was conducted virtually without any irregularities.
”He thanked voters for their participation and for demonstrating a high sense of civic responsibility.
According to preliminary CEC data, in the Tbilisi mayoral race, Kakha Kaladze received 71.55% of the votes, Irakli Kupradze — 12.45%, and Iago Khvichia — 7.52%.
