The Central Election Commission (CEC) of Georgia is now offering political parties the option to submit their party lists electronically for the upcoming parliamentary elections, the CEC administration reported.
A working meeting was held at the CEC headquarters to discuss the procedures for submitting and registering party lists using the new electronic platform.
Representatives from political parties that had accepted the CEC’s proposal to submit their party lists and accompanying documentation electronically attended the meeting. Participants engaged in a detailed discussion about the various aspects of utilizing the electronic platform.
An amendment to the CEC’s resolution, which allows parties to submit their party lists for the October 26, 2024, parliamentary elections using the electronic platform, came into effect on September 10. Following this, the CEC invited all registered parties to take advantage of this new electronic submission method. According to the CEC’s statement, six parties have already opted to use this new system.
The CEC clarified that political entities registered for the October 26 elections must submit their party lists by September 26.
