A new multifunctional complex, Chateau “Vine Era”, has officially opened in the village of Vachnadziani, Gurjaani Municipality, with financial support from TBC Bank.
The project, with a total investment exceeding 14 million GEL, brings together a 14-room boutique hotel, a modern wine factory, and vineyards planted with both Georgian and European grape varieties. Of the total investment, up to 5 million GEL was financed by TBC. The project also benefits from co-financing programs under “Enterprise Georgia” and the Rural Development Agency.
The chateau offers guests a diverse experience, combining accommodation, fine dining, conference facilities, and recreation areas.
“Vine Era” cultivates Saperavi, Merlot, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Sauvignon Blanc across 16 hectares of vineyards. Irrigated through a drip system supplied by an artificial lake, the vineyards are protected from both excessive moisture and drought, ensuring stable quality.
The on-site wine factory, equipped with modern Italian machinery and grape-processing lines, has the capacity to process over 400 tons of grapes annually. Future plans include expanding the vineyards by an additional 17 hectares, further boosting production.
“Vine Era” is part of the GD Group, with which TBC has maintained a 10-year strategic partnership. Together, they have implemented several large-scale projects across Georgia.
TBC emphasized the importance of supporting initiatives that stimulate regional development, create new jobs, and promote agriculture and winemaking alongside the hospitality sector. The bank’s agro-sector portfolio currently stands at 1.2 billion GEL, reflecting a 38% increase since August 2022. Specifically, in winemaking, TBC has invested more than 260 million GEL between 2022 and 2025.
