“Cheesecaker” Begins Easter Orders: Traditional and Cottage Cheese Pastries Now Available

Confectionery brand “Cheesecaker” has started accepting pre-orders for Easter pastries. Co-founder Veko Dodashvili told BM.GE that this year the focus is on increasing the production of handmade cottage cheese Easter breads (khachapuri-style paskas) to make them more accessible to a wider audience.

According to Dodashvili, the paskas became especially popular last year, prompting the company to expand production this season. “Last year we launched cottage cheese Easter pastries with pistachio-chocolate and cherry, as well as versions with white chocolate, nuts, and dried fruits. The demand was so high that this year we decided to increase production significantly and make them more widely available. Pre-orders have already started, and we plan to accept them until around April 5,” she said.

Easter breads are handmade using high-quality ingredients, which requires more time and effort. Despite this, prices have increased only slightly compared to last year. Traditional Easter bread price starts at 30 GEL, while cottage cheese paskas range from 34 to 39 GEL, depending on weight and flavor. The cottage cheese version weighs 500 grams, and the traditional Easter breads are approximately 850 grams.

Dodashvili added that the small price adjustment reflects rising commissions from intermediary companies and ingredient costs, but the brand remains committed to maintaining high quality and keeping its products affordable for customers.
