Children’s Clothing Brand “Uniki” Increased Production by 50% Last Year

Georgian children’s clothing brand Uniki increased its production by 50% last year, according to founder Magda Zakariashvili, who spoke on BMGTV’s Women’s Narrative. She said demand for the brand continues to grow and often exceeds supply, which has forced the company to expand production and even seek support from additional sewing workshops.

Zakariashvili noted that 2025 brought major changes for the company. The regional sewing facility, opened during the pandemic, faced operational challenges, prompting a partial move to Tbilisi. The new workshop and showroom on Tarkhnishvili Street have helped solve staffing issues and support production growth, though operating in the regions had previously provided access to grants and training programs.

Uniki, which started with newborn clothing, has expanded its range to include festive and performance outfits and now works actively with kindergartens and schools. Seasonal orders remain a key part of its business, and the company has already begun accepting spring requests. At the same time, B2B sales have grown significantly, now accounting for roughly half of total sales.

The brand sources fabrics mainly from Turkey and Dubai, with some purchases made locally. Zakariashvili noted that securing high-quality natural cotton fabric remains a challenge in Georgia. Last year, Uniki temporarily stopped taking new orders due to high demand, underscoring the brand’s rapid growth and production limits.
