Starting next summer, the Racha-based wine and tourism facility "Chrebalo Wine Cellar" will welcome guests with brand-new accommodation, marking a significant expansion of its hospitality offering.
As Salome Lekishvili, co-founder of "Chrebalo Wine Cellar", stated in an interview with BM.GE, the development of the hotel direction is already underway, with the official opening scheduled for summer 2026.
“We will have 8 rooms and the capacity to host 24 guests. Renovation works are already in progress,” said Lekishvili.
The total investment in the hotel project amounts to approximately GEL 700,000, funded through a loan from Halyk Bank, the state program ‘Enterprise Georgia’, and private capital.
Room rates are expected to range from GEL 200 to GEL 300, depending on the season. Lekishvili emphasized that the facility targets the high-spending segment, offering not only premium comfort but also a distinctive cultural and thematic experience.
“The concept goes beyond just accommodation; we aim to create a space that blends traditional heritage with modern luxury,” she added.
The interior design of the hotel is being developed in collaboration with Dodo Design and architect Pavle Maisuradze. Each room will be uniquely themed around local Racha grape varieties such as Tetra, Mtsvane, Melikudi, and Tsolikouri, with each room bearing the name of a specific variety.
“The design will reflect the essence of Racha’s winemaking tradition while offering modern comfort. It will be a perfect synthesis, creating a memorable stay for our guests,” said Lekishvili.
Looking ahead, "Chrebalo Wine Cellar" also plans to expand its tourism services by offering various themed tours, further enriching the experience for its visitors.
"Chrebalo Wine Cellar" began operations in 2019 as a wine production company with an initial investment of GEL 400,000, and has since grown into a notable player in Racha’s wine and tourism sector.
