Nino Sekhniashvili, Head of Business Development and Strategic Procurement at Citadeli, says that Georgia’s construction sector is sensitive and already reflects the impact of recent events in the Middle East. Speaking on Business Morning, she noted that while logistics and raw material costs were affected, she does not expect major further fluctuations.
“Today, the construction market is quite dynamic. The sector is often the first economic indicator and reacts proportionally to external events,” Sekhniashvili said. “Initially, the impact was seen in logistics and raw material prices, which automatically affected pricing, but we believe the situation will stabilize and we won’t see bigger shocks.”
She added that such challenges can sometimes act as a catalyst for innovation. Companies may adapt processes or adopt new solutions to offset cost pressures, creating unexpected benefits.
“For these reasons, we are still looking at the situation positively. While the market has faced immediate pressures, the long-term outlook remains stable,” Sekhniashvili concluded.
