“City Institute Georgia”, within the framework of Elaboration of Borjomi’s General and Development Plans, has submitted the final version of the Study and Analysis Stage.
This stage consists of 6 documents:
1) General Provisions
The document includes: project description; relevant documentations to be considered; srakeholders’ interviews (including population survey); conducted field works; cadastral data and information about cities twinned with Borjomi.
2) Urban Issues and Cultural Heritage
The document discusses: the international, national and regional context of the city; planning retrospective; administrative and district boundaries; Urban issues and cultural heritage.
3) Demographics and Social Issues
The document includes: Analysis of the demographics; Analysis of the social situation of the population (including employment, religious denominations, culture, security, situation of internally displaced persons) and social infrastructure, which includes educational facilities, health care and sports facilities.
4) EconomicsI
n the document analytical information is conducted about - the economic profile; tourism; business entities operating in Borjomi; resort infrastructure; real estate evaluation; minerals and other natural resources; About municipal finances and investment planning.
5) Environmental Protection
The document includes: physical environment (biodiversity, climate, ecology, etc.); assessment and management of public health risks; characterizing the balneological-resortological importance of Borjomi; sanitary protection zones of Borjomi; climate change and health issues; Seismic norms for Borjomi.
6) Civil Infrastructure
