Nika Nikolashvili, the founder of the Georgian children's clothing brand Nikolli, says that due to the shortage of local staff, they have to employ Russian and Russian-speaking citizens in the enterprise in the near future.
As Nikolashvili said in a conversation with BMG, the company is going to expand the enterprise and, accordingly, double the workforce from January. As for the prices, Nikolli products have become more expensive by 20-25%.
"Raw materials became more expensive by 50%, although we did not want to have such a rigid increase in selling prices, so we arranged the internal policy in such a way that we increased it to 20-25%. The reason for the increase in cost is the shortage of labor, which remains the most acute problem in the textile industry. We actively work with training centers. Recently, there is a great interest from the citizens of foreign countries, they are actively looking for a job. We will have to employ them in the near future. This applies to Russian citizens and the Russian-speaking population in general - both Russians and Ukrainians.
According to the founder of Nikolli, at this stage the monthly production is 2,000 units, which is significantly lower than the demand.
We need double the number in the retail direction. We also have corporate orders, which are also growing. In the near future, we will increase the enterprise and the workforce, we should at least double the productivity. At this stage, about 35 people are working, along with the growth of the enterprise, we will need 2 times more resources," Nikolashvili said.
According to him, the brand will start operating in the new enterprise from January.
