The Ministry of Justice is offering entrepreneurs a 50% discount on updating their registration records between March 9 and March 20. The initiative helps businesses bring their documents in line with amendments to the Law on Entrepreneurs, which require all companies registered before 2022 to update their extracts. This requirement affects tens of thousands of legal entities.
According to Deputy Justice Minister Tamar Zodelava, companies can now pay GEl 100 instead of GEL 200 if they use the ministry’s standard charter template. Updates can be completed either at any Justice House nationwide or online via my.gov.ge.
The deadline for aligning registration data with the law is April 1, 2026. Companies that fail to comply by that date will have their registration suspended, and the National Public Registry will no longer issue their official extracts.
More than 350,000 enterprises have already updated their records. The requirement applies to:
- Limited liability companies (LLC),
- Joint-stock companies (JSC),
- General partnerships,
- Limited partnerships,
- Cooperatives, and
- Branches of foreign companies.
The rule does not apply to individual entrepreneurs or non-entrepreneurial (non-commercial) legal entities.
