The companies will have to control their employees' working hours from today. The amendments made to the code “on Labor” in September came into force on 1 March.
Health Minister Ekaterine Tikaradze set the Employee Work Schedules, where the employer controls days and hours an employee works on a weekly basis. The work schedule also will include information on the employees’ absence.
Employers are required to fill out these invoices per month, and keep the archive of work schedule for a period of 1 year.
"The employer is obliged to use method of electronically recording the hours employees work or make a written record of a notification on their working time (excluding the rare cases when employees’ working hours cannot be recorded). The employee is entitled to ask the employer and get acquainted with the work schedule.
The work schedule in written and/or electronic form is kept for 1 year with the employer or a structural subdivision", the document reads.
