Vakhtang Alania, head of Shipping Company Sofmar declares that the forwarding company is searching for qualified staff.
According to him, there is a great demand for staff in the direction of railway, harbor and sea transportation, but the staff can't get an adequate education in Georgia.
"We have a shortage of staff. For example, there is a big problem with freight forwarding. We are expanding and we need new professional staff, but unfortunately, there are none. We are growing and teaching ourselves, but it takes a lot of time and effort.
Unfortunately, institutes cannot provide and train professional people in this field. Railway, harbor, and sea transportation are very interesting and we need professionals," says Vakhtang Alania.
Recently there has been a lot of talk about the shortage of personnel in almost all fields. Some companies believe that the problem of staff shortage will become even more complicated in 2023.
