The Economic Council under the leadership of the Prime Minister of Georgia will continue to work in an updated format.
The composition of the Economic Council has been expanded to allow the members of the parliament, representatives of the government administration and the business ombudsman participate in its work together with the members of the government.
As noted by Irakli Kobakhidze, Prime Minister of Georgia enlargement of the Economic Council will improve coordination and promotion of the engagement of all essential parties in the discussion of important topics.
The Economuc Council, which met for the first time in a renewed format,reviewed the current year's progress in terms of economic growth and the implementation of large infrastructure projects. The Council members also discussed the projects and investment initiatives planned for the future.
Certain structural reforms were also agreed in the format of the Economic Council, which will be reflected in the legislative initiatives.
