Confectionery company "Sandomi" is starting to work on a diabetic line, Tekla Talakvadze, the company's marketing and public relations manager, told BM.GE.
According to her, the company is constantly trying to expand its range and introduce new products to the market. However, because the market is saturated with competing companies, it represents a significant challenge for them.
"The main challenge is a staff problem in the sector. Therefore, we always have to retrain technologists and find new recipes with both European and Ukrainian professionals. We are trying to expand the assortment and study as much as possible.
This year we also want to launch a diabetic line. It is true that the production of the diabetic line has not yet started, but we are consulting. This is a very long process, but next year we will definitely have a diabetic line," Talakvadze said.
As for the Easter trend, the company's marketing and public relations manager points out that although there are many choices of Ester Cakes on the market, the demand for their traditional Easter Cakes is growing every year.
"What we are looking at is customer demand, they prefer traditional, more homey flavors and our Easter Cake is also more traditional and homey."
In general, the price of the product is determined by the price of raw materials, because in certain periods the prices are unstable, however, after last year, we kept the prices unchanged, and there was no adjustment. The average price of our Easter Cake in the markets starts from 4 GEL and the maximum price reaches 14 GEL", Tekla Talakvadze noted.
