The legal framework has been formed and a project has been completed in relation to the construction of Bayraktar TB2 manufacturing plant in Ukraine. The relevant statement was made by Ambassador of Ukraine to the Republic of Türkiye Vasyl Bodnar during a briefing at Media Center Ukraine-Ukrinform, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“As of today, the entire legal framework has been formed. As you know, the relevant international agreement has already been ratified. There is a company that is currently operating in Ukraine, and it has prepared a physical project… We expect that the plant will be put into service within the next two years and will start to produce goods with Ukrainian component parts,” Bodnar told.
In this regard, Bodnar mentioned that the Kızılelma unmanned combat aerial vehicle (UCAV) with a Ukrainian-manufactured engine had successfully completed his second flight test in recent days.
"This is evidence of how closely we cooperate and produce actual results, including, hopefully, for the future strengthening of Ukraine’s security,” Bodnar noted.
A reminder that Turkey’s Baykar Defence is planning to complete the construction of its plant manufacturing Bayraktar TB2 and other UCAV types in Ukraine within two years.
