Vladimir Gudushauri, former head of the Defense Ministry’s State Procurement Department and a figure convicted in a large-scale embezzlement case, has submitted a new asset declaration detailing his income, property, and financial obligations.
According to the declaration, Gudushauri earned GEL 11,875 from the Defense Ministry and GEL 35,841 from the state food supply company in 2025, while his wife, employed at the Finance Ministry, received GEL 26,869 in annual salary.
The family’s declared assets include a 96 sq.m apartment and garage in Tbilisi, a rural property in Racha inherited in 2023, and a 2024 Toyota Land Cruiser LC 250, purchased for $62,300 with a bank loan. No cash savings or bank account balances were reported.
The declaration also lists multiple loan obligations, including mortgage, consumer, and personal loans. Gudushauri was previously released on bail in connection with a high-profile corruption case, in which he later testified, while senior officials, including former Defense Minister Juansher Burchuladze, were convicted and sentenced.
