Georgian cotton candy producer Bambara has entered a new phase of development, shifting its focus toward events, workshops, and educational activities, according to founder Ani Burduli.
Speaking to BM.GE, Burduli said the company launched cotton candy masterclasses in May, allowing children to make their own cotton candy while participating in interactive and educational activities. She noted that the initiative has quickly become popular and is emerging as an important additional revenue stream for the business.
Bambara has partnered with various venues, including VR gaming space GameStorm, where the workshops are incorporated into birthday party and event programs. The company also provides services for openings, celebrations, and other private events, while considering the launch of standalone public workshops in the future.
Although cotton candy sales remain stable and continue to follow seasonal demand patterns, Burduli said the success of the events segment has led the company to redirect resources away from some planned retail expansion projects. As a result, certain growth initiatives have been postponed until next year. Despite rising operating costs, Bambara does not currently plan to increase prices, aiming to maintain affordability for customers.
