Tamaz Dausvili, managing partner at DIO, emphasizes that businesses need a predictable and stable environment to grow. Reflecting on 2025, he told BMG that the situation at the end of 2024 affected consumer behavior, leading to reduced activity throughout last year.

“It was expected that consumer activity would be somewhat lower in 2025. The uncertainty that emerged at the end of 2024 persisted throughout the year, which is naturally unfavorable for business. As a result, consumers focused more on essential goods and less on products our company offers—items for home use and renovation. Given these conditions, we set a minimum plan to at least match 2024’s performance, and I am pleased to say that we achieved 97% of that plan,” Dausvili said.

Looking ahead, he expects 2026 to be a relatively stable year for the country and the economy. Dausvili also spoke about company plans, including the introduction of new products. He highlighted the company’s upcoming 30th anniversary and noted investments made in modernization and production capacity expansion, expressing optimism for stronger growth next year.

Dausvili stressed the importance of continuing Georgia’s Euro-Integration. He explained that business depends on people—the owner, employees, and consumers—and that public confidence directly affects the market. “It is crucial for the country to develop along the right path and remain focused on Euro-Integration. We are part of Europe, and this process must continue. Internal political conflicts hinder business development, so it is essential that political life normalizes. This will ultimately have a positive impact on both businesses and every citizen of Georgia,” he concluded
