The head of the National Center for Disease Control, the coronavirus vaccine for children aged 5 to 12 years will enter the country from 2Q22.
Amiran Gamkrelidze told reporters about it after the Coordination Council meeting.
"Preliminary discussion on vaccination of children aged 5-12 was held by the Immunization Council. We ordered over 50,000 doses of the Pfizer vaccine. At the first stage, we think it will be intended for children with immunocompromised and concomitant diseases, the first batch will be shipped in the second quarter, "- said Amiran Gamkrelidze.
