444.37 grams of undeclared gold items and coins, and 4.18 grams of undeclared silver items were seized at the Red Bridge customs, a crossing point between Georgia and Azerbaijan on the Tbilisi-Ganja road, and at Kutaisi International Airport, in Western Georgia, announces the Georgian Revenue Service.
The total value of the gold and silver items is 61,773 GEL ($21,544/€19,354).
Those charged were sentenced to a fine totalling 27,003 GEL ($9,418/€8,460).
The investigation service of the Ministry of Finance is looking into the case.
