A new player has entered the Georgian tech market - DAFI Robotics Georgia, a company that imports AI-powered service robots from China and fully adapts them for the local market. Founder and CEO David Darbiniani tells BM.GE that his company is the first in Georgia to bring in such robots, integrate the Georgian language, and help businesses improve service quality, boost staff efficiency and enhance their modern image.

DAFI Robotics Georgia collaborates with Chinese industry leader OrionStar, providing full localization and Georgian-language integration. Darbiniani says service robots have been widely used in Asia for over a decade, and now Georgian businesses can benefit from the same technologies. “Robots don’t replace people - they support them in routine tasks and increase efficiency,” he explains. The company’s first robot arrived in January and is already assisting waitstaff at the restaurant Salobie Bia, while negotiations with several large companies are underway.

According to Darbiniani, real competition in this field does not yet exist in Georgia, giving the company a strong early advantage. Prices for the robots range from $8,000 to $10,000, and he notes that businesses can typically recover the investment within 1.5 years. Robots require no salary or additional recurring expenses and come with a standard one-year warranty, extendable up to four years.

Looking ahead, DAFI Robotics Georgia plans to expand rapidly. Darbiniani says the company aims to bring at least 12 robots into the country within the next year and establish a strong presence across multiple sectors, helping Georgian businesses integrate practical AI solutions into their daily operations.
