Daniel Dalton, CEO of the British Chamber of Commerce in Brussels writes in his own Twitter page that the project of “Digital Corridor” is under danger in Georgia due to Georgian government’s hostile actions.
“Interesting developments take place in Georgia, as the project of “Digital Corridor” is under danger. Internet availability might be restricted to 1.8 billion users due to Georgian government's actions. To note, the Caucasus is the shortest route between the EU and Asia. As for the alternative route, it includes Russia, which is the issue of privacy and security for the EU in terms of technews and technology”, - Daniel Dalton wrote in his post.
It is worth to mention, that Daniel Dalton is a British former senior Member of the European Parliament and the current CEO of the British Chamber of Commerce in Brussels. He is still active in European politics and well respected in EU circles.
