DELTA will spend 800 thousand GEL for creation of a fire-rescue vehicle prototype. The agency requests for the right of simplified procurement within this amount, the reason for which is unhampered implementation of a state project. The above money is meant for creation of 2 prototypes in cooperation with an Austrian company Rosenbauer, which is considered to be one of the leaders in the field of fire security.
The prototypes will be tested in Georgia and it is planned to sign a batch production agreement after assessment is complete. The cooperation agreement between DELTA and Rosenbrauer was concluded within the framework of Giorgi Mghebrishvili’s (Head of Emergency Situations Management agency) visit in Austria. The Georgian side is planning to fully renew the fire-rescue vehicle park with this project. Taking into account that the fire-rescue vehicle parks of neighboring countries are mainly equipped with old soviet vehicles, export of Georgian-produced equipment is considered.
