Baia Kondratieva, one of the founders of the International Association of Aesthetic Medicine GAIA, stated in an interview with BM.GE that between December and January, consumption of aesthetic medicine decreased by up to 40%.

According to her, there is a slight increase in demand by now, but it does not show a significant trend.

"The first 7 months of 2024 were very active. But, demand decreased from late November and continued in the coming months due to the events taking place in the country. Winter months turned out a very bad period for the aesthetic medicine business. We had a drop of about 40%. The pre-New Year period was unusually quiet. Now there is a slight upward trend, but nothing significant.

On the one hand, people are probably not in a good mood, while on the other, the financial situation is the reason for the decrease in demand. We have not adjusted prices, since we depend on the cost of the products," Baia Kondratieva said.

As for future plans, Kondratieva notes that until the business environment in the country stabilizes, they refrain from making large investments.
