"Orders for New Year's candles have increased by 80%," Ketevan Kandelaki, the founder of the brand Aroma Candle told BMG.
According to her, at this stage the brand is selling its products through web-sites, and it is going to introduce the products to stores from next year.
"The demand for our candles is very high and we work especially actively during the New Year period. We compete with other companies in the market with a lower price. We buy raw materials wholesale in China, and accordingly, the price of sales products is significantly different from the price of candles made by other companies. Besides, the low price is due to the fact that I have a workshop at home and I don't have to pay rent.
70% of the sales is the local market, and 30% of the products are sent to Italy, England and France. In addition, we actively receive corporate orders.
We make candles with soy wax, and the purchase of this raw material is much cheaper in China than in Georgia," Kandelaki said.
As for future plans, in the near future it is planned to increase the number of products and to activate them in the direction of exports, although currently there are no negotiations with any country.
It should be noted that the brand is a family business located in Tbilisi and has been operating since the current year.
