The "Design Institute" has announced that it will host various free master classes for design enthusiasts by the end of the year. Nino Egadze, head of the institute, encouraged interested participants to take part in the educational opportunities.
“I would like to invite everyone who is interested in design. We will have various types of free master classes by the end of this year. Our main goal this year is to break even. Currently, we have 320 students, and we aim to reach 500. Covering our costs this year will allow us to start making a profit next year,” Egadze said on “Business Morning.”
As part of the initiative, the Design Institute is organizing a conference in Tbilisi for Social Design Days, scheduled for September 25–27. This year, the conference will focus on urban spaces and heritage, highlighting how design can contribute to social development.
The event aims to create a hub for creative and business professionals, fostering collaboration and discussion on innovative projects that are not yet widely known. Additionally, the conference seeks to emphasize social responsibility and demonstrate how design can serve as a practical tool to address societal challenges.
By combining educational programs with industry engagement, the Design Institute hopes to expand its student base, promote design as a discipline for social good, and strengthen its role as a central platform for creative collaboration in Georgia.
