Teymur Taghiyev, Head of Strategy at NEQSOL Holding declares in an interview with Giorgi Isakadze, editor-in-chief of Forbes Georgia, that the Digital Slikway project was selected as one of the top five infrastructure projects by the Global Strategic Infrastructure Forum. Taghiyev believes that this nomination is one of the indicators as to why this project will result in a huge international success.
NEQSOL Holding’s position on investing in infrastructure sector of Georgia and the Caspian Sea is fixed. Taghiyev notes that they would have exclusive rights to building fiber-optic cable in the Caspian Sea.
“Ideally, we're going to provide the infrastructure needed for building the Digital Regional Center in Georgia. We can see that the idea of a digital silk way is getting more and more international attention. This week, we're going to present our project at the Global Strategic Infrastructure Leadership Forum (GSILF) in the U.S. This major event about infrastructure is organized by Norman Anderson -a key U.S. policymaker in charge of strategic and critical infrastructure. Ideally, we should do it together with Georgian National Communications Commission (GNCC) and the support of the Georgian Government”, Teymur Taghiyev said.
