"Disappointed at 3.5 year prison sentence for Nika Gvaramia, General Director of Mtavari TV. A strong defender of media freedoms, which are essential for citizens to exercise their democratic rights, on all sides of political debate", - Acting British Ambassador tweeted.
Tbilisi Court found Nika Gvaramia guilty in committing the crime under the article 220 of the Criminal Code of Georgia (abuse of power) and sentenced him to 3 years and 6 months prison.
