The Parliament of Georgia of the X convocation will not continue the discussion of the draft law on "Agro-Tourism" initiated by the Committee on Agrarian Issues. The decision was made at a meeting of the Committee on Sectoral Economics and Economic Policy.

The point is that today the committee discussed the law initiated by the parliament of the previous convocation, which will not continue its discussion. Davit Songhulashvili's committee selected two draft bills to be submitted to the session, but the law on agro-tourism is not included.

The chairman of the Committee on Agrarian Affairs stated his position on this issue.

"I would like to note that a number of issues outlined in the draft law on agro-tourism are very important for our farmers and for the development of agro-tourism; At the same time, I am aware of the arguments for which the Sectoral Committee will not be able to continue working on this law. I hope that when we process the bill and introduce it, you will support it,” Nino Tsilosani said.

Davit Songhulashvili, Chairman of the Committee on Sectoral Economics and Economic Policy, said that the law on "Agro-tourism" is important, but the committee will develop a new law on tourism and agro-tourism will be part of it.

"That’s why we decided to continue working on this issue in this way," - added David Songhulashvili.
